CAP Lobbyist Application

The Congressional Action Program (CAP) is looking for homeschoolers who are concerned about the political trends which threaten homeschool freedom and the American family, and who are willing to share those concerns with our nation’s leaders in Congress. The most important credential that you can bring to Washington, D.C. is an enthusiastic desire to preserve the blessings of liberty and uphold homeschool freedom and parental rights. The United States was not built by professional politicians or trained lobbyists, but by God-fearing families who were willing to take a stand for righteousness. America needs to hear from such families today. If you care about the future of homeschooling and are willing to work on behalf of the family, please fill out this application.

Those who wish to attend a CAP Training Day and be involved in upcoming CAP events need to fill out an application to become a Capitol Action Program Lobbyist.

Cost for Training Day: For first-time attendees, the cost is $15 per couple or family. (Note: Those who attended previous training sessions may attend for free.)

Cost for a “Lobby on the Hill” Day: The only costs are travel and parking in Washington, D.C. No registration fee is requested. However, all families must attend at least one CAP Training Day before registering for a Hill day.

Who’s Invited: The entire family! However, keep in mind that your children need to be mature enough to handle visiting congressional offices with you. CAP Lobbyists should live within easy driving distance to D.C.

For more information please contact CAP: CAP@hslda.org or 540-338-5600.
